Redevelop / Adaptive Reuse

The rehabilitation of buildings is an inherently sustainable act, extending the life of a building, encouraging existing infrastructure versus continued sprawl, and reducing new energy expelled for construction. Transformation may be slight and thoughtful or implemented by bold spirit — all handled by respectful intervention and adherence to historic preservation. We have led the adaptive reuse and redevelopment of many existing facilities, bringing new life and renewed purpose into built environments.

American Enterprise Group - National HQ Renovation

As the American Enterprise Group building aged, the owner had consciously respected its defining characteristics. Westport Commons

Plexpod Westport Commons is the transformation of Westport Middle School and Westport High School into a community resource that immediately became a regional hub for innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurship.

Habitat for Humanity Office Renovation

The building was previously used by KCMO Public Works and then occupied by Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City (Habitat KC) as their offices for many years. When Habitat KC purchased the building to use as the organization’s primary office headquarters, it was their mission to renovate and renew this existing space to better support their mission, clients, and community.
