Mid-America Regional Council Rivergate Renovation

BNIM led the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) through a formal programming process to understand and define MARC’s goals, issues, concerns and vision, as they considered their current and future space needs. After a 6-week programming exercise, it was determined that MARC needed to increase their square footage to accommodate their needs through 2011. After evaluating numerous existing facilities with regard to location, parking, image, public and private access, conference/training spaces and flexibility, it was concluded that MARC would lease additional space, and undergo a renovation, in their existing location.

BNIM served as the lead design firm for programming, building evaluation and design for the renovation. The renovation project included: the re-stacking and blocking of the existing and newly leased space, renovation of space on three levels, the addition of a new 10,000 square foot conference/training center and renovation work including exposing the existing heavy timber building structure, as well as brick interior.
