Grand Boulevard Streetscape Plan

BNIM, in collaboration with Crandall Arambula and the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, engaged downtown stakeholders in a grassroots effort to create a complete, green, and livable Grand Boulevard that connects the Missouri River, Downtown, Crossroads, and Crown Center districts. By removing a lane of traffic in both directions, the Boulevard transitions into a tree-lined corridor connecting regional parks at both ends — with a series of interconnected park and urban spaces — while still maintaining adequate service for automobiles. The project also incorporates landscaping and stormwater management practices.
