Crossroads Academy Quality Hill

Crossroads Academy of Kansas City, a K-8 campus in the urban core, expands the reach of the typical classroom to take advantage of Kansas City’s downtown amenities. BNIM and Crossroads Academy have transformed historic buildings into multipurpose rooms, a gymnasium, and a new model of classrooms that are designed for collaboration. Interior demountable glass partitions provide openness and allow teachers to move between different groups while maintaining line-of-sight to the entire class. The buildings are connected by an elevated glass skywalk, made entirely of recycled glass and other materials.
