In the pursuit of his passion for sustainable practices and engineering expertise, Ryan Evans recently joined BNIM as a part-time staff member. As a licensed Mechanical Engineer, he brings to the table extensive knowledge about finance and renewable systems, making him an invaluable asset to all BNIM projects. Ryan is readily available to assist project teams in several key areas including energy goal refinement, quality control support, solar PV analysis, and advising teams on alternative financing for energy systems such as PACE, PPA’s, and other non-capital sources.
Ryan’s design emphasis focuses on a building’s mechanical systems and how they interact with the building structure and occupants, leading to designs that increase energy performance, while enhancing building durability, occupant comfort, and indoor air quality. Ryan has extensive experience in designing and modeling for high-performance buildings. Further, he consults and lectures on moisture management techniques for new, existing, and historic structures. With a finance background, Ryan also helps his clients evaluate upgrades to their buildings that result in increased performance and higher financial value.
Ryan’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond his role at BNIM, as he will also contribute to project performance check-ins and support the company’s 2030 reporting initiatives throughout the year. With Ryan’s diverse skill set and dedication to creating a greener future, he continues to play a vital role in driving sustainable practices within the firm and beyond.
