James Baker
Associate, Administration
A graduate of the University of Kansas’s African American Studies program, James is interested in the effect of urban planning, development, architecture, and design on equitable outcomes for communities. Coming from a different background, James brings a unique perspective and experience to the design and planning field. As an associate, his role has grown to include research, strategic communications, special projects, and building collaborations with potential partners. James helped launch BNIM’s Address Initiative for Equitable Development, which is an intentional effort to find solutions and create positive affordable housing projects.
