University of Iowa Stanley Museum of Art Receives Central States Region Design Award

The University of Iowa Stanley Museum of Art was honored at the 2023 Awards Ceremony in Oklahoma City, OK, this September with a Central States Region Design Award.

Envisioned as a library and laboratory for the Arts, the University of Iowa Stanley Museum of Art provides a series of welcoming gallery spaces where individuals can learn about, discuss, and explore the collections. The Stanley Museum of Art features flexible galleries, a visual arts laboratory classroom where works of art are installed for students’ coursework observation, a visible storage room, teaching studios, offices, and collaborative staff and volunteer spaces. Each of these spaces are dedicated to the research, support, and teaching of the collection.
