Springfield Art Museum Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for its New Spaces in Museum Transformation

The Springfield Art Museum is celebrating the completion of the museum’s new parking lot, amphitheater, and Fassnight Creek Naturalization projects as part of the museum’s transformation in Springfield, MO. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on October 15, 2022.

BNIM led the master planning effort for Springfield Art Museum in 2018, focused on the museum’s vision for the next 100 years. The master plan emphasized three areas of study for growth: renovation, replacement, and/or expansion of the existing education wing; renovation of the existing building to improve visitor and staff experience; and improvements to the campus to better connect the museum to surrounding amenities. The transformation of Springfield Art Museum is envisioned to allow the museum to improve its tools for internal leadership, educational offerings, and cultural service to the southwest Missouri region.
