Laura Lesniewski becomes WELL Accredited Professional
BNIM Principal Laura Lesniewski recently became a WELL Accredited Professional. As described by the International WELL Building Institute, professionals with this certification demonstrate “expertise in the WELL Building Standard (WELL) and a commitment to advancing human health and wellness in buildings and communities around the world.” Laura noted that WELL is a tremendous resource for architects to understand the impact of their designs on physical and mental health and to refine their designs to be positive.
Laura combines a rare blend of attributes that lends a spirit of collaboration and stewardship to her work. She enjoys the exploration and discovery of the unique characteristics of each project and is dedicated to pursuing the highest levels of sustainability to build truly thriving communities. As BNIM’s latest WELL Accredited Professional, Laura has contributed to significant sustainable design movement initiatives within BNIM and the industry. In her career, Laura has helped to pilot LEED, helped develop the Living Building concept, and has been an active leader in the AIA.
