Laura Lesniewski and Sam De Jong present at ‘Your Global Future’ Event hosted by the International Relations Council of KC

BNIM team members had the opportunity to present at this year’s virtual ‘Your Global Future’ college and career fair hosted by the International Relations Council of Kansas City. High school students attending the event learned about international opportunities in various career fields. BNIM’s Laura Lesniewski and Sam De Jong shared about their experience in the design of Asilong Christian High School in West Pokot, Kenya – a high school campus for 320 students upon full buildout that enhances and supports educational opportunities for primary school graduates by providing classrooms, offices, dormitories, and teacher housing.

“It was fun to participate in the IRC Global Futures Event this year…even though we were all online. As Sam and I got to share about the design of a high school campus in Kenya, it was a nice chance to remember how we got started in architecture and got the bug for traveling overseas to experience other cultures.” – LAURA LESNIEWSKI
