Keeler Court Apartments Published in Architect’s Newspaper
The Keeler Court Apartments were recently featured in Architect’s Newspaper. Located in San Diego county, this project provides affordable housing for San Diegans whose income is between 30 and 60 percent of the area median income. Seven of the units are reserved for formerly unhoused veterans in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The 71-unit development is designed with a strong emphasis on outdoor community spaces, providing a welcoming and vibrant environment for its residents. The complex is also located near public transportation options, making it more accessible and reducing the need for private vehicle use. The development’s hub of activity is the community courtyard where residents can enjoy the barbeque and picnic area, children’s play area, and multi-purpose community room and kitchen. The project also includes a manager’s unit, laundry room, bicycle storage, on-grade covered and open parking, and common landscape areas.
Keeler Court represents a positive step forward for affordable housing in the city, offering not only safe and affordable housing, but also a strong sense of community and connection for its residents.
