James Pfeiffer presents at 2024 Sarasota Design Conference and chairs jury for AIA Florida Gulf Coast Design Awards
James Pfeiffer, BNIM Principal, is a guest speaker at the 2024 Sarasota Design Conference presented by AIA Florida Gulf Coast March 1 – 2. This year’s conference features the theme of “Perspectives,” and focuses on the role of architects as agents of change in designing and proposing new paradigms. The conference brings together design practitioners who work at a range of scales and each provide a unique and holistic approach to architecture and design.
James’s presentation Special Delivery – The Practice of BNIM on March 1, explores the practice of implementing dynamic design solutions through a generalist architectural lens, situational and spatial awareness, and a holistic, multidisciplinary approach that integrates intuitive, predictive, and experimental methods. He will also participate in a moderated panel discussion of architectural practice and the business of architecture on March 2.
The 2024 AIA Florida Gulf Coast Design Awards will take place on March 2. The awards program encourages excellence in architecture, elevates the public consciousness of good design, and recognizes owners, designers, and contractors whose work enriches the built environment. James served as chair of this year’s design jury, alongside jurors Carly Pumphrey (Lisa Schmitz Interior Design), Emily Harrold (Multistudio), Kate Moeder, (Hufft), and Vladimir Krstic (KCDC).
