Greenbuild Conference 2022: Jeremy Knoll presents a workshop on Policy and Advocacy for Decarbonization

Jeremy Knoll, LEED Fellow, AIA, SEED, EcoDistricts AP, will serve as a workshop leader alongside Jennifer Gunby, PE, LEED AP; Alex Dews, LEED AP BD+C; Panama BartholomyJulie Hendricks, AIA, GRI, LEED Fellow; David Smedick, MEM, LEED AP BD+C, and Stacy Smedley, Living Future Accredited, LEED BD+C at the 2022 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in San Francisco, CA (Nov. 1 – 3). The workshop entitled From Policy to Impact: Driving Positive Change at the State and Local Level will focus on policy and advocacy for decarbonization in the private sector including codes and requirements, incentives, and performance standards that lean into technologies such as beneficial electrification, building-grid integration, portfolio-wide solutions, and super insulated envelopes.

The workshop session will take place Nov. 1, 2022, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Attendee’s learning objectives include:

  • Increase knowledge about the opportunities and challenges in advancing building decarbonization.
  • Illustrate how policy can be leveraged towards meeting state and local governments’ decarbonization goals.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the partners, strategies and examples in building decarbonization policy.
  • Understand available funding sources and Federal initiatives supporting state and local governments in implementing building decarbonization policy.
