Craig Scranton Co-chairs Urban Land Institute Technical Assistance Panel for Shawnee, KS
Craig Scranton, AIA, LEED AP, BNIM Principal, has led significant placemaking and development initiatives across the Kansas City area. In addition to his work with BNIM, Craig is actively involved with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Kansas City chapter. ULI’s mission is to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. Craig has served as a co-chair of ULI’s Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) for Downtown Shawnee, Kansas, and Barney Allis Plaza in Kansas City, MO. ULI TAPs focus on providing strategic advice to sponsors on complex land use and real estate development issues, involving tours of areas and buildings for potential development opportunities; sponsor briefings; stakeholder meetings with elected leadership, city professional staff, business and property owners, developers, and neighborhood and community representatives; and panel deliberations and recommendations. Craig’s recent work as co-chair of ULI TAP for Downtown Shawnee included the exploration of redevelopment opportunities to promote placemaking, reinvestment, and community connection.
