BNIM Principal Appointed to AIA Iowa Board of Directors
BNIM proudly announces Jonathan Ramsey, AIA as a newly appointed Director for the AIA Iowa Board. Ramsey’s term started at the beginning of 2024 and will conclude December 31st, 2026.
Jonathan is a Principal at BNIM with over 25 years of experience in the profession. Jonathan earned a Master of Architecture from Harvard University where he was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Medal, and received his Bachelor of Environmental Design from Miami University. His work has been recognized with over 50 significant awards and media features from organizations including the American Institute of Architects Iowa and Central States chapters and the Chicago Athenaeum and the European Centre of Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. For AIA Iowa, Jonathan has served as Chairperson of the AIA Iowa Committee on the Environment, committee member for the Fall Convention, and board member for the Iowa Environmental Council.

I am looking forward to building on that legacy, collaborating with staff, committees, and the Board to support the mission of the Iowa Chapter in being the voice of the profession of architecture, promoting the value of good design, and advocating for the health and safety of the public.’
