Bloomberg’s CityLab features BNIM’s ESOP
BNIM was featured in Bloomberg CityLab. The article discussed our recent transition to an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) in October, emphasizing insights from principals Laura Lesniewski and James Pfeiffer on client feedback, the impact on project design, and recruitment efforts. James Pfeiffer comments on how the ESOP discussion started,
“We have this phrase that no one knows as much as everyone. We use it almost every day. It really is one of our core values. The transition and how it’s come about has been a natural evolution of our ethos.”
On what advise BNIM would give other firms considering an ESOP, Laura Lesniewski says, “What’s been surprising to me is how willing people are to talk about it and share their own questions, their own process and evolution over time. It’s a very lively conversation. Because it’s a business thing, it’s a very personal thing, it’s about the culture of the firm. It expands into all aspects of the practice, in a way. I’ve been surprised by how excited people are to talk about it.”
