BNIM was founded in 1970 in Kansas City. From its earliest history, the firm has been dedicated to strengthening our urban cores with projects that create a strong civic identity and a revitalized sense of place. While BNIM is often recognized for its national projects and initiatives, the skill and experience that has emerged from being deeply engaged in the most important community issues and initiatives has been critical to this growth. BNIM’s work has resulted in the 2011 AIA Firm Award and over 500 awards for design, planning and leadership.
