Sarah Hirsch wins Kansas City Construction Specifications Institute 2012 Specifications Writer Award
On June 5, 2012, Sarah Hirsch was honored with the Kansas City Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) 2012 Specifications Writer Award.
Hirsch is the driving force behind BNIM’s specification writing efforts, not only writing specifications but also developing sustainably minded and rating system-oriented guide specifications. She has written specifications for Omega Center for Sustainable Living (one of the first certified Living Buildings), Greensburg City Hall (LEED Platinum), Iowa Utilities Board – Office of Consumer Advocate (LEED Platinum registered), and Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Sarah recently completed writing specifications for Summit-Bechtel Boy Scout Reserve, which is pursuing Living Building certification.
