Bob Berkebile and Shawn Gehle Keynote PLEA 2016 in Los Angeles

Bob Berkebile and Shawn Gehle will keynote the PLEA 2016 Conference in Los Angeles this Wednesday, July 13. They will discuss the progression of sustainable architecture and urbanism projects including the Omega Center for Sustainable Living; IUB/OCA Office Building; Building Positive: a Four-in-one Prototype; and the Makers Quarter development.

The Passive Low Energy Architecture (PLEA) Conference engages a worldwide discourse on sustainable architecture and urban design. This year’s conference theme is Cities, Buildings, People: Towards Regenerative Environments. PLEA is committed to the development, documentation and diffusion of the principles of bioclimatic design and the application of natural and innovative techniques for sustainable architecture and urban design. This is the first time since 1981 that the United States has hosted a PLEA Conference.

Other keynotes include: Thom Mayne, Ed Mazria, Matt Petersen, David Hertz, Michael B. Lehrer and Brooks & Scarpa.
